In Everything for MoCA
I have two MA2500D devices connected via a dedicated RG6 coax cable roughly about 100ft long. No splitters. One MA2500D is connected to my ORBI RBR960 router and the other to my Apple TV 4K. I updated my MA2500Ds to the latest firmware. Everything works great except i get random drops of the Moca link. No set time or duration or event, just the Moca connection drops randomly. The Moca light is OFF and the ethernet light is On on both devices and i can't log into the user interface on either device in this state. If i remove and reconnect the ethernet connection on the router side or power cycle the MA2500D then the Moca link comes back and everything works properly. The devices can work for days and weeks or just an hour before i ge the random drop. I'm using the default settings. The coax is prestine. I changed the connectors and measured the cable and it looks fine, no issues. It's almost like the Moca connection is going to sleep. There are no system or network settings on the AppleTV like on a PCs ethernet port to adjust. I know other's have reported a similar situation but are there any tweaks or adjustments to work around this problem? There hasn't been any firmware updates from GoCoax in a long time and i can't believe this is a bug that's affecting everyone. Any Ideas?
