I
’m trying to troubleshoot why I’m losing speeds on my MoCA connection from one room to another.
I have an Eero Pro 6 coming from my office with a Motorola MB8600 cable modem going into it and going through a GoCoax 2.5 MoCA adapter to another GoCoax 2.5 MoCA adapter in a detached apartment with another Eero Pro 6. When connected to the Ethernet port of the office Eero I am getting near gigabit speeds (I have 900 Mbps service through Xfinity) but when connected to the Apartment eero it only maxed out around 750 Mbps. Any idea where I could be losing signal. I have MoCA certified splitters as well as POE filters isolating the network. Any other tips are greatly appreciated.
Hi Sam,
How do you get the 750Mbps result, by www.speedtest.net?
MoCA will introduce about 3ms delay for passed traffic. That will affect the TCP speedtest result slightly.
