In Everything for MoCA
Hello goCoax Community, I live in a 3-story duplex sharing the center wall with my neighbor. Upon tracing the cables I have found we share a single ISP cable into a 1x4 splitter resulting in 2 lines each into our respective homes with separate modems. In the interior there is also a 1x2 coax splitter per leg from the outside. My neighbors in the adjacent duplex building (same construction) have their own physical cable feed each from the street. So they aren't sharing a single ISP feed. Goal Looking to have a physical high speed connection between the top and lower floors. Questions: Do I need to ask for my own physical line independent from my neighbor from my ISP? If I move large files on my MOCA network, will it affect my neighbors internet experience? Do I need to add a MOCA filter on top of the existing Low Pass 1GHz DVR/Cable filter? Comments: I would plan to replace all coax splitters with ones that are MOCA certified. Any insight from the community and support would be helpful and appreciated! Thank you! Looking to utilize the following setup with modem and router.
