im trying to connect my gocoax to my verizon ONT box. the ONT boxy is outputing a coax connectiionn tom my house that my verizon router conenct to and works. i want to go from the ONT box> gocoax >My router;s WAN. i found the seculity code off the verion router that the coax uses and coax channel 1000. i configerd the go coax to lof 1000 and the secuity code. but its still not working. will this work? does gocoax support WAN coax connections?

Well, I suspect the ONT box is just out putting another mocha signal and I was hoping to go coax could translate said signal into ethernet and then connect to my routers WAN. Perhaps the coax can’t translate mocha signal from a third-party device? or is there like a channel setting and a security code? I need to update on the go coax.
As I said, this won't work. You need to have the ONT ethernet port activated by calling Verizon support. (Takes a few minutes and there is no charge.) And you need to connect this port with the WAN port of your router. Then proceed hooking up the goCoax adapter as described in the wiring diagram of my first post.
I have a router that takes a WAN signal. But i want to covert there ONT-coax-WAN siganl and convert it to ethernet with the gocoax box.
Your setup won't work. You need a router that accepts an ethernet WAN connection (can be had for less than $100). Then you need to ask Verizon to provision your ONT with an ethernet signal. Then use the wiring as shown in my previous post.
Hi the verizon ONT box output a coax connection. i want to convert that to ethernet and connect it to the WAN on my router. or should it be connect to the lan on the router?
Not sure what you are trying to do. Perhaps the attached wiring diagram may help if you are trying to replace the Verizon router with your own and use the existing coax cabling in your house for gigabit ethernet connectivity. Used this setup a while ago to create a wifi mesh network with ethernet backhaul in my house. Works fine.
It sounds like you're trying to set up your Gocoax adapter to connect to your Verizon ONT box, which is a great way to extend your network. However, the Gocoax is designed primarily to work as a bridge within your home network rather than directly connecting to the WAN port of your router. Instead, you should connect the Gocoax adapter to the coax output from your ONT and then connect the Gocoax to your router’s LAN port, not the WAN port. Make sure you’ve properly configured the Gocoax settings and that both devices are on the same coax network. If you still have trouble, try resetting both devices and ensuring all connections are secure. Let me know how it goes! slice masters
