I have a pair of goCoax MA2500D adapters which work when directly connected to each other with a coax cable (330 Mbps when tested with iperf3), but I can't get them to work with any of the cable outlets in any of the rooms, so the problem must be something to do with how the coax in the house is wired.
The house is a rental where the previous tenant apparently had Time Warner cable internet and DirecTV. Or maybe Time Warner cable TV and then switched to DirecTV. I have neither (I'm using a separate fiber connection for Internet).
There's a box marked Time Warner on the outside of the house, and the attached pics show what's inside. I'm hoping that changing that green DirecTV splitter and/or rearranging how the cables are connected will enable the goCoax adapters to communicate with each other in different rooms inside the house, but I don't know what to do. I've numbered the cables in one of the photos to make it easier to discuss them. Any ideas and suggestions?
The problem is probably with the splitters inside the house, which I can't get to, so I'm giving up on this at least for now.
After reading up about that DirecTV splitter, it appears that the #1 cable was coming from the dish, and #2 was from an SWM power inserter. #3 would carry the signal to a satellite box inside the house.
