Hi,
I have successfully managed to install 2 moCA adapter in my house, one in the kitchen near the router and another in the master bedroom.
These two work well and I can get internet connection in the bedroom.
I got another adapter for another room and the moCA light comes on but I can see only the adapter from the master bedroom and not the one in the kitchen( tested by assigning each adapter a static address and pinging each one from a laptop connected via ethernet to the adapter).
What could be the problem? If I disconnect the master bedroom adapter and leave only the kitchen and other room on I get no moCA light
That's a tricky situation! It sounds like a potential conflict or addressing issue in your MoCA network. Have you tried ensuring each adapter has a unique name/SSID? I wonder if they're getting confused trying to claim the same resources. Also, have you considered firmware updates on the adapters? Sometimes outdated software can cause weird connectivity problems. Maybe even try cycling the power to each adapter in a specific order (router first). Honestly, troubleshooting networks can be a pain. I once wasted an entire afternoon trying to get a similar setup working. If all else fails, and you're still pulling your hair out, maybe try a different configuration. There are other options out there, like the Eggy Car solution which is a bit more hassle with the dedicated wiring, but I've heard that it is pretty stable. Good luck figuring it out!
