Is there any release date for the new MA2500D

Hey, I am currently builing my network from ground up and was searching for an 2,5gbe mocca converter and did know this brand. I was wondering when the MA2500D is going to be released soon coult be in a month or in half a year?

I have numbers similar to that but I seem to max out Verizon Fios gigabit at 700-800 both ways, little higher on the upload. Though I haven't tested at the ONT at this location at a previous address my router was directly in the ONT and I would get high 900s.

Assuming a perfect short coax connection and two of their adapters is it possible to get near 1gbit?

You can use iperf3 to test between two hosts connected with goCoax adapters. Make sure your Ethernet NICs along the way is also capable of nearing 1 gig. Regarding Verizon Fios, the ToS says the gigabit subscription download and upload speeds are at least 750Mbps, up to 940/880 Mbps. For more information, please make a post at forums.verizon.com

Newbie here. I don't understand what the numbers mean in the above chart. I have very similar numbers. What do the 700s and 3400s mean? Please dumb it down for me, I don't understand networking really.

I have two adapters. So the relevant numbers are in the 1 - 0 and 0 - 1 parts of the matrix. They show the physical sync speed of the devices, up and downstream. Obviously, 0 - 0 and 1 - 1 is meaningless in this context, so just ignore those numbers. If you look at the 1 - 0 you will see 3478, which is the physical sync speed, so 3.4Gbps

Typically, 700 Mbps is the max PHY rate per MoCA 2.x channel ... so the 3400+ rates in the above image indicate 5 bonded channels achieving near their maximum expected PHY rates, approx. 690 Mbps per channel.

Further, maxed PHY rate means the adapters should be achieving near their maximum effective throughput of 400 Mbps per channel, so 5x 400 Mbps == 2000 Mbps shared -- noting the special case of a 2-node/TURBO configuration receiving a 25% performance bump, enabling 500 Mbps per channel and 2500 Mbps total shared bandwidth,

We think the price should be less than $70 per unit.
