Hey everyone, I’ve been trying to find a reliable wireless casting app for my Mac, and I keep hearing about DoCast and ApowerMirror. I mainly want to mirror my screen during presentations without lag or random disconnects. Has anyone here used both? How stable are they really in day-to-day use? Any quirks or things to watch out for?

I've only used DoCast. Easy to use. Haven't tried ApowerMirror yet. Try Unblocked Games 76 as a good solution.
I’ve actually tested both DoCast and ApowerMirror quite extensively on my MacBook Pro over the last few months. Honestly, they each have their strengths, but also some limitations depending on what you need. DoCast tends to be more straightforward with its interface and usually has fewer connection drops during longer sessions, which is great for presentations or streaming videos. ApowerMirror, on the other hand, offers more features like annotation tools and supports mirroring to multiple devices simultaneously, but I noticed it can be a bit laggier, especially over Wi-Fi networks that aren’t super strong. One thing that helped me decide was checking out this detailed comparison I found here: screen mirroring apps — it breaks down the features, pros, and cons really clearly. Also, be aware that ApowerMirror sometimes requires extra permissions or firewall tweaks on macOS, which might be a hurdle if you’re not super tech-savvy. In my experience, if you want smooth, basic casting without fuss, DoCast is the safer bet. But if you want extra bells and whistles and don’t mind occasional hiccups, ApowerMirror is worth a shot.
