Forgive me, I'm a newbie at this stuff. While I feel technically competent enough to actually replace my equipment, I just would like to know if this will work and which to buy.
I currently have a MOCA network, with Frontier FiOS as my service. My specific services include Voice, TV and Internet. 3 Coax connections from my ONT to various rooms in a 5 bedroom, 2 story house. It had all worked fine, but I think my MOCA devices are failing. I'd been using Actiontec MoCA Wireless APs (WCB6200Q x 2), one in each other room with a Coax lead. A short list of what I want to do:
Replace FiOS Quantum G1100 Router
Replace WCB6200Q devices
Keep FiOS TV working the way it would be working, as if I kept FiOS equipment
A couple of things I don't understand:
How many GoCoax devices would I need in my setup? For each Coax lead, I have a FiOS DVR or STB, and a splitter and multiple wired ethernet connections.
Which GoCoax devices would I need within my network and where? I'm talking specifically these models: 803M, MA2500C and MA2500D. I'm not sure of the difference between each and which I'd need and why.
