I have an Arris SB8200 and installed the MoCA network. Before I got done installing the 2nd POE filter, the MoCAs all connected and began working.
Is the 2nd filter really necessary? How can I tell if there is an issue because the second filter is not there?
Hello! Setting up an Arris SB8200 without a second PoE filter had me wondering about potential signal interference and network performance. To understand how others manage similar setups, I checked starlink reviews for insights into signal reliability and hardware compatibility, especially in more complex home networks. Users shared experiences balancing satellite internet with traditional wired connections and how setup tweaks improved overall speeds. Having those shared insights helped me optimize my own system and feel confident about maintaining strong, stable connectivity.
Will I need to have a filter between the inbound internet line and the HDHomeRun Prime cable device as well?
SB8200 is a DOCSIS 3.1 modem. The upper frequency can be up to 1218MHz. Will has overlap with MoCA(1125-1675MHz).
So you'd better to install the 2nd filter to separte the two netoworks.
If there is no such filter, there are maybe some packet loss or link unstable.
